History
The art of creating images of sand in the bottles first appeared in Arab countries. Traveling to Egypt or Jordan, you can meet people who fill bottles with colored sand and sell them to tourists. Most of their works are the desert landscapes with sand dunes and camels. The reason for such selectivity is explained by high complexity of the work with sand. Drawing a landscape and camels is rather easy. Nevertheless, a bit more detailed picture requires talent and skills. Perhaps that is why sand bottle technique has not yet been developed outside the Arab East.
